About Me
Hi, I'm Tamrin — a singer-songwriter born and raised in New York City. I recently graduated from Bates College with a BA in Music and Philosophy.
I've been playing the piano for over 15 years, the ukulele for 10, the guitar for 8, and the tabla for 2. That range of instruments shapes how I write: my songs blend versatility with emotional depth, whether I'm at a keyboard or picking out a melody on strings.
Songwriting has been at the center of my life since I was 12 — it's how I process emotions and connect with others. The philosophical side of my education constantly finds its way into my music, shaping the questions I ask and the stories I tell. I've released four singles, most recently "musings from the chapel steps," a track that explores spirituality, the absence of religion, and letting go of relationships.
I'm always working on something new. You can find my music and other creative projects right here on this site — and if you're interested in collaborating, chatting, or working together, I'd love to hear from you.
Take a listen!
